About Matt Every

Matt Every was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on December 4th, 1983. He grew up loving the game of golf, becoming Volusia County’s Golfer of the Year for four years in a row. In addition, Matt was an all-state selection after his junior and senior high school golf seasons playing for Mainland High School’s men’s golf team.

Matt then went on to play on an athletic scholarship for the University of Florida’s men’s golf team under legendary golf coach, Buddy Alexander. During his time there, Matt was a four-time All-American as well the 2006 Ben Hogan Award recipient, which recognizes the best college golfer in the country.

2012 – T2 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, T6 The Memorial Tournament, T2 Valero Texas Open, T8 RBC Heritage, T3 Mayakoba Golf Classic, T6 Sony Open Hawaii

2011 – T3 Miccosukee Championship, 4 Children’s Hospital Classic, T6 Soboba Golf Classic, 2 Pacific Rubiales Bogota Open

2010 – T8 Waste Management Phoenix Open

2009 – Winner Nationwide Tour Championship, T7 Mexico Open, T5 Cox Classic, T4 Stonebrae Classic

Recorded a 2nd place finish, 4 Top 10’s and 8 Top 25’s in 2008 on Nationwide Tour

Was a 3-Time First Team All American at University of Florida

2006 Ben Hogan Award Winner for top collegiate player in the country

Low Am in the 2005 U.S. Open

Fun Facts About Matt

Matt’s favorite band is Oasis. He often says his dream foursome would include Oasis band members Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher and “some sort of counselor so we could get the best band in the world back together.”
